Gothic is a DirectX7 game and requires DirectX9 kernel driver but Intel doesn't provide any DX9 driver starting from 11th gen due to lack of fixed function pipeline in hardware. Well, if you can get to him on mele range, then you can cancel his shoting animation by attacking and doing like 0,5-1,5 second pause between every attack.
