MadstadAdjustable Windshield seems to be the current "standard" solution : Africa Twin 2016 and Up. For $250, you get an adjustable bracket and a windscreen about four inches wider than stock. Madstad makes these for various bikes and it has been widely reviewed here on the forums, youtube, etc.
AsI struggle to throw my leg over the 34.3-inch seat height of the 2022 Honda Africa Twin, I question my unquenchable thirst for adventure and the motorcycles that will take me there.
STDseat in STD position = 370 mm. STD seat in LOW position = 350 mm. LOW seat in STD position = 340 mm. LOW seat in LOW position = 320 mm. It is true that people with short legs, myself included, do not gain a true 30mm advantage by switching to the low seat. That is because the low seat is much wider at the top.
on January 20, 2016, 12:38:14 am. I''m considering buying a V1000, but have some concern about the seat height. I'm 5'10. I've read that you can "click" the suspension to lower it some but that then the front end doesn't ride as well on the interstate. Any thoughts or suggestions are aporeciated. Thanks. TheAfrica Twin’s standard seat height can be set to 870 mm (34.3 in) or, like here, to 850 mm (33.5 in). The bike still wasn’t quite ready. This was the DCT version, with an automatic transmission that can be set to Sport or Drive, and Automatic or Manual, which uses a button and a trigger lever on the left handlebar to shift gears.
Theriding position points towards the adventure side and is aided by a flatter seat and a grip position that is higher by 32.5mm and closer to the rider by 6.5mm than the 2015 Africa Twin’s. This adds a little extra comfort both for touring and when off-road, says Honda and I agree. Having covered 130 road miles, I had no stretchy-leg
